Alea Fairchild

Dr. Alea Fairchild is a Research Fellow at The Constantia Institute, which is a Brussels-based technology policy think-tank, focusing on innovation and technological advances and their impact on industry and society.  As a technology commentator she has a broad presence both in the traditional media and extensively online. Alea covers the convergence of technology in the cloud, mobile and social spaces and she helps global enterprises understand the competitive marketplace and to profit from digital process redesign.

Alea is passionate about commercial marketing and innovation, and as an entrepreneur, has started several companies of her own. She loves working with start-ups and actively supports VCs in due diligence work. She also assist governmental institutions on technology policy issues.

Alea is resourceful, naturally curious and clear-thinking.  She gets to the point and can navigate through complex problems with quick, insightful questions.  She has experience in project management, analytical research, and strategic development and planning. Handling multiphase projects is a specialty, and she has excellent communication and stakeholder management skills in working with a diverse group whether it be multinational, multicultural or diverse job functions. 

She mainly advises clients in the Northern hemisphere, with emphasis on Europe and US/Canada. She works in the following industries: industrial automation, computer/networking, telecom, financial services, media, transport and logistics, and manufacturing. Her clients are both commercial, government / public sector, NGO and trade associations.
